A beautiful day in Ashley Park House with Kate and Gary.
The guys got married on site in the Boathouse, which is just stunning — a glass wall behind them where all the guests can look out over the lake as the ceremony happens. We had great fun at the venue. There are so many places to go, so many nooks and crannies once you know them. Ashley Park House really is simply stunning.
I'm always happy to shoot here — not just because it's twenty minutes from my home, but because I know the venue and I know the family. They're so nice, and Margaret makes sure every wedding goes off without a hitch (well, apart from the obvious hitch — the intentional one).
It was a beautiful summer's evening, and I was able to steal the couple for a few more coupley shots at nighttime after the meal. I was delighted with how they came out.
Between the Boathouse ceremony, the private lake, the secret gardens and the marquee dining hall, Ashley Park House gives a photographer an enormous amount to work with in one venue — which is exactly why it's one of my favourite places in Tipperary to shoot a wedding. Kate and Gary's day made full use of every corner of it, and the whole set below is a proper flavour of what the place can do across a full day, start to finish.
