Louise was in great form getting ready, and there was a very small guest of honour in her arms before the day even started. The ceremony was in the hotel, full of laughs, with a celebrant who kept everyone smiling.
Afterwards we went out around Bunratty: under a tunnel of fairy lights, down the old village street, and into the bar for a well-earned pint. Bunratty in winter has a magic all of its own.
The night had a grand entrance, fire dancers lighting up the dark, and a black-and-white dance floor that didn't empty.
