Velvet, candlelight and a castle dressed for Christmas.
Kinnitty Castle in late November is something else. The halls were full of garlands and fairy lights, the fires were lit, and Shane was in a velvet tux that suited the place perfectly.
The ceremony was in the great hall, lit by lanterns and candles. Afterwards we had the run of the castle: the library, the fireplaces, the big staircase with the stag's head watching over everything. It's a dream of a venue for black and white.
Then it was dinner, speeches with plenty of laughs, and a packed dance floor in front of the old stone fireplace.
