Ashley Park House

Ashley Park House in Nenagh is one of the best wedding venues in Tipperary.

Tucked away in the countryside, yet only five minutes outside Nenagh and central to pretty much anywhere in the country, it's one of my personal favourite places for wedding photography in Tipperary — or maybe all of Ireland.

The Boathouse

Let's start with the Boathouse, which is just perfect for the wedding ceremony. Also perfect for wedding photography, with oodles (technical term) of natural light and sliding glass walls which give access for loads of special angles.

Here comes the bride.

The Grounds

As if that wasn't enough, the grounds are out of this world. Where else can you enjoy private access to a lake?

From there, let's go for a walk to capture some lovely natural wedding photography. A hop, skip, jump and a bunch of candid shots later, and you're in the magical secret gardens of Ashley Park House — beautifully maintained, a wedding photographer's dream, perfect shelter from the sun, rain or any other elements.

Wedding photography at Ashley Park House is so much fun — there are so many fantastic scenes and frames, all about the grounds. It's full of those little details that give it its unique character.

The Marquee Dining Hall

Then there's the fab marquee dining hall at Ashley Park House, which again is fantastic for wedding photography — so much natural light, and again that attention to detail. Margaret and all the staff go the extra hundred miles for their couples. Lovely, lovely people.

Wedding speeches at Ashley Park House. Who won?

Sparklers are great craic at a wedding, and add another scene to the wedding photography. At Ashley Park House there's a lovely spot for this just outside the Boathouse.

I stole the couple away for a few minutes after the sparklers died down for a quick nighttime wedding photo. Ashley Park House is so perfect for weddings, and so perfect for wedding photography.

Then on to the first dance, and a few more heads on the dancefloor. Ashley Park House truly is a place where stories start.
